Rail
Rail is an application that aims to provide finite political data in a consumable layout. To empower the general public with political knowledge. And to provide objective ratings of politicians-in-office through aligning their votes and issues with our users.
Process
I essentially worked on the full scope of this project. I started by reaching out to University Professors. They sent a lot of great resources. I mapped out a workflow. From there I designed an initial concept. Worked with development to map out the back-end as well as choosing the API that we would be requesting from. We decided to use Material UI for React. From then I created a sitemap then revisited my designs. Finally, I pushed out user testing that involved analytics such as time spent on a task, success rates, heatmap, surveys, etc.
